Optional Day Trip - Fossil Hunt

Hop on a bus and travel about half way back towards La Paz and you will notice a fairly large upturned hill beside the road. Walk through a very small village and you can start looking for ancient fossils. The climb is not a hard one, but starting at 12,500 feet makes it a bit tougher. It's hard to believe but this hill high in the Andes was once at the bottom of a sea and who knows what kind of fossils you may find. The view from the top is amazing.
